Mechanical Engineers (Optical/Laser/Space/DOD)
Herndon, VACurrently seeking Mechanical Engineers to partner with THE Global Leader in
Laser and Electro-Optics Research and Development (R&D) for the DoD, Aerospace and NASA customer. Advanced Lasers, Lidars and Laser Communication Systems are all areas of expertise!
Onsite Requirements: Open to remote, hybrid (remote & onsite mix) or 100% onsite, we are flexible!

About The Position:
- Assist with and create mechanical system design solutions and architecture.
- Construct detailed design CAD models and drawings.
- Analyze systems and initiating procurements.
- Assist in the assembly and testing of various systems.
- Prepare technical reports.
- Participate in design review meetings.
- Collaborate on the creation of new concepts in support of business development opportunities.
- BS Degree required.
- 3-20 + years of experience (will consider mid-level through senior-level applicants!)
- Expertise in ANSYS and/or Creo / Pro E software nice to have, but will train!
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
