Position Overview:

Join a premier defense consulting team at the forefront of naval readiness and strategic operations. We are seeking motivated Configuration Management Specialists across multiple experience tiers to provide critical programmatic support on-site at the historic Washington Navy Yard. In this role, you will collaborate with military leaders and technical experts to optimize acquisition strategies, manage sophisticated financial ecosystems, and deliver actionable data analysis. Key Responsibilities:
• Take direct responsibility for complex configuration management issues associated with maintaining and controlling hardware inventory.
• Control, audit, and organize official program documentation, product releases, and software/hardware configuration baselines.
• Work in lockstep with the Configuration Control Board (CCB) to define and implement structured procedures for releasing new products throughout the entire asset lifecycle.
• Deliver expert change management guidance and strict product configuration management oversight to minimize technical debt and baseline drift.

Required Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Security Clearance: Active Secret OR clearable (US Citizenship required).
• Core Competencies: Strong procedural discipline, high attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of standard product lifecycle management frameworks.

Experience & Career Tiering:
We are actively mapping candidates to the following corporate tiers based on experience:
Associate Tier: Greater than 1 year (>1) of baseline experience tracking hardware inventory or updating configuration records.
• Specialist Tier: Minimum of 4+ years of relevant professional experience specializing directly in engineering, IT, or naval hardware configuration management frameworks.
Senior/Principal Tier: 10–15+ years of advanced experience. Candidates must demonstrate a track record of leading a Configuration Control Board (CCB), designing enterprise-wide configuration tracking policies, and managing high-consequence defense program assets.
